It looks amazing! It's got a H P Lovecraft kind of atmosphere! Love that. One of the best films I've seen this year. Everything was excellent, from the cinematography to the performances. The ending will definitely take you by surprise. Be prepared to be left disturbed and enthralled. Phenomenal movie. Really got under my skin and left me thinking for days. I love it. I watch this alone, now I can't sleep. Nothing is what it seems at the uncanny lighthouse where Robert and Willem deliver a performace from beyond. The chemistry between both of them grabs you on every emotion, from laughter to discomfort, and never seems to let your attention go. Since I'm no horror fanatic myself it's worth to mention Lighthouse is more categorised in the psychological sector where the atmosphere does a excelent job to make you feel uncomfortable and suspenseful. Absolutely amazing movie, or should I say a piece of art, on every level.

The film succeeds at blending horror, fantasy, and comedy.
The production design is so amazing that you can't tell what's real and what isn't. Speaking of things that are real, they filmed this movie in Nova Scotia, meaning that the environment and weather are real.
The dialogue is amazing! Fun fact, this film is set in the late 1800s and they researched historic ledgers and journals from real lighthouse keepers to write the dialogue for this film.
The editing is incredible! There's gonna be a lot of scenes in this film that will stick with you.
Tension rises from the opening scene and just keeps building from then on. And eventually it all just boils over. I mean, stuff gets absolutely bonkers!
This movie also has one of the most unique styles I've ever seen. They filmed the entire movie on black and white 35 mm film. And it is presented in a smaller aspect ratio.
I can't wait to get this on Blu-ray and to see Robert Eggers' next film. He is a filmmaker of incredible talent and definitely one of the best working today.
